Curbelo Beefs with Luján Grisham, Obama MV Home for Sale, and Sánchez Claims Sexual Harassment on the Hill
More than 275 news cycles later, we have finally made it to Friday. Let’s begin this morning with Twitter. A departing employee briefly deactivated the president’s account at around 6:45P on Thursday. Visitors to the page were met with the message, “Sorry, that page doesn't exist!” This morning, 45 is making up for the lost 11 minutes with a litany of tweets as he departs for Asia on a 12-day excursion that includes stops in Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam and the Philippines. Pulling from a page of Trump’s book of global diplomacy and decorum, let’s hope world leaders aren’t met with the message, “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!” Based on his tweets, Trump’s focus appears to be on Hillary Clinton and the DNC. After declaring November Native American Heritage Month, Donald Trump once again referred to Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) as “Pocahontas” as he urged the FBI and DOJ to focus on Clinton and not accusations that members of his campaign colluded with Russia. Making brief remarks to reporters, he threw shade to the DOJ saying, "I’d like to let it run itself. But honestly, they should be looking at the Democrats. They should be looking at Podesta and all of that dishonesty. They should be looking at a lot of things. And a lot of people are disappointed in the Justice Department, including me.” Note to AG Jeff Sessions -- make sure your LinkedIn profile is current. BTW, Special Counsel Robert Mueller also unearthed another scandal that’s not related to Russia. Sam Clovis had been nominated to be the chief scientist at the Agriculture Department. Just one problem -- he’s not a scientist. Seriously, these guys need to fall back. Actually, we all do. We’re getting an extra hour of sleep! Don’t forget to adjust your clocks tomorrow night. We’re kicking off the weekend with this...
