The House and Senate have reached an agreement on a final version of their rewrite of the tax code. The text of the bill is expected to be released as soon as tomorrow. Final votes on the revised legislation, whose overall cost remains unclear, are expected to come next week before sending it to Donald Trump’s desk. But there’s still a caveat -- Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), whose proposal to slightly shrink the size of the proposed corporate tax cut and use that revenue to bump benefits for about nine million low-income American families through the Child Tax Credit failed.
