Morgan Freeman Attacked by Russia, CHC Chair Pushes Legalizing Weed, and Obama Swipes at White House

Okay so we’re a little tardy. Our apologies. The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference kicked off with a bit of a bang last night, and maybe somebody overslept this morning. But we can neither confirm nor deny these vicious rumors. Now let’s get to it. Hurricane Maria is now a Category Three and after laying waste to Puerto Rico (more on that below), the storm is headed towards the Dominican Republic. Back at the UN General Assembly, Melania Trump gave her first UN speech and used the opportunity to condemn bullying and remarkably managed to do so with a straight face. Researchers? Find her statement defending the president’s attacks on MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski, please. Control room? Cue the complicity tape of her perpetuating the Barack Obama birther lie, please. Meanwhile, more of that good brain from hubby who mistakenly referred to Namibia, a country in southern Africa, as "Nambia" while meeting with African leaders. On Capitol Hill,Senators Bill Cassidy (R-LA) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) got a compliment from 45, who called their legislation to repeal the ACA a “great bill.” Don’t get too excited guys.
