Mia Love Claps Back, Latin Grammy Winner Running for Congress, and Obama Stays in the Pocket with Prince

From a bill of love to words of hate, Donald Trump has, once again, sent the world into disarray. By now, you’ve heard this quote multiple times: "Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?" The president reportedly made this comment referencing immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador, and African nations during a meeting with lawmakers discussing immigration. Trump, who now denies making the remarks despite attendees confirming he did, suggested bringing in more immigrants from Norway and possibly Asian countries to help the U.S. economically. He went on to ask why Haitians should be part of a deal, and told lawmakers to "take them out." Today happens to be the eighth anniversary of the earthquake that devastated Haiti. It’s also the the day 45 is slated to sign a proclamation for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Raise your hand if the president’s words surprise you? Nobody? Okay. What does the GOP leadership have to say about the remarks? So far -- nothing! And it looks like DACA negotiations have, once again, been derailed. A bipartisan group of six senators has reached a deal that would shield “Dreamers” from deportation and make other changes to immigration laws and border security. But, Politico’s Seung Min Kim reports that the framework has yet to win over the White House and other key players on Capitol Hill. Later today, the 71-year-old Commander-In-Chief undergoes his first medical exam as president. Is 45 mentally fit? Don't count on his physical to tell you. And early this morning, Trump tweeted that he is canceling his upcoming trip to London. Why? Because he is "not a big fan of the Obama Administration having sold perhaps the best located and finest embassy in London for 'peanuts,' only to build a new one in an off location for 1.2 billion dollars. Bad deal. Wanted me to cut ribbon-NO!" Just one problem -- the decision was not, in fact, made by the Barack Obama administration but by George W. Bush in 2008. POTUS45 caused so much confusion yesterday, we can’t even tell you about it all. We’ve got too much to get to. It’s a long weekend so make sure to get in some good deeds this MLK Day of Service.
