Tammy Duckworth is Pregnant, John Leguizamo Weighs Public Office, and Uber Names Chief Diversity Officer

Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has withdrawn an offer to fully fund Trump’s proposed $25 billion border wall -- you know, the one Mexico was supposed to pay for. The president retorted, “if there is no Wall, there is no DACA.” The next funding deadline is February 8th, and POTUS45 has set March 5th as the date the DACA program ends. Sidestepping Senate leaders of both parties, a bipartisan group has taken it upon themselves to quickly resolve the immigration dispute. In the meantime, 800,000 lives hang in the balance. Special Counsel Robert Mueller now appears to be focusing on whether Donald Trump obstructed the investigation into Russian election meddling.  Put down the Diet Cokes. It might be Mueller time. AG Jeff Sessions was the first member of Trump’s Cabinet to be interviewed. And WaPo reports that in an introductory Oval Office meeting, Trump asked then-Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe who he voted for in the 2016 election. Meanwhile, congressional Republicans have intensified their own investigations of the DOJ’s and FBI's handling of inquiries into Trump’s ties to Russia. No time like the present to get out of town. The president heads to Davos this evening sans the First Lady. In a sudden change of plans, and amidst headlines the president paid a porn star hush money following an alleged affair, Melania is staying behind, citing scheduling and logistic issues. Speaking of First Ladies, Michelle Obama was spotted last night at hot DC dining spot Maydan with former WH Chef/Nutrition Policy Advisor Sam Kass. The two shared dinner in the second-story dining room. Lastly, remember when school shootings were major breaking news? Not anymore. In the latest of at least 11 school shootings since January 1st, two students were killed and 18 were injured on Tuesday in Kentucky. Not a single tweet from 45 referenced the fatalities. I wonder if it would have caught the president’s attention had the shooter been an immigrant and not a 14-year-old white kid. We’re halfway through the week and we’re kicking it off with this...
