Obama Heads to Brazil to Host Roundtable for Young People
On Thursday, President Barack Obama will host a roundtable with young civic leaders in São Paulo, Brazil to discuss the issues affecting their communities and the work that they are doing to pursue positive change. Obama will hear directly from young people making a difference in their communities, and learn how the Obama Foundation can bolster their efforts by giving them the necessary tools and resources for success. The roundtable will include 11 young leaders – six men and five women – from across Brazil, including São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Salvador. Each individual is working on critical issues about which POTUS and FLOTUS44 are deeply passionate, including civic engagement, social inequality, climate change, and public education.Meet the participants here.
