Obama HHS Secretary Sebelius Testifies in Menéndez Trial
At his federal corruption trial on Tuesday, more details emerged about the 2012 meeting between Senator Robert Menéndez (D-NJ) and former Obama administrationHealth and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. Sebelius went into detail about the "unusual" meeting, which was arranged by then-Senate Majority LeaderHarry Reid. CNN reports that the meeting was the only time that Sebelius remembers in her 5½ years at HHS where Reid asked her to come to a meeting with another member of Congress, though she could not recall either legislator mentioning Dr. Salomón Melgen, Menéndez’s co-defendant. "I don't exactly know what he wanted other than for me to do something," Sebelius said. More here.
