The Hill Names Several Lobbyists of Color to Top Hired Guns

On Thursday, The Hill released their Top Lobbyists 2017: Hired Guns list, an annual who’s who of the top lobbyists and their specialties. This year’s list includes several lobbyists of color, including Ogilvy Government Relations’ Moses Mercado; Steptoe & Johnson LLP and former Puerto Rico Governor Luis Fortuño; VantageKnight Inc.’s Manny Ortiz; Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP’s Arshi Siddiqui; and K&L Gates LLP’s Emanuel Rouvelas. This year’s list also includes Paul Brathwaite, who, as The Beat DC told you yesterday, has left the Podesta Group (under which he is included in this list) to start his own firm. See the full list here.
