ICYMI: Booker Names Deputy Chief of Staff


Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) recently named Tamia Booker (no relation) his Deputy Chief of Staff. The 2005 Florida A&M University graduate previously did national African American outreach for theHillary Clinton presidential campaign. Prior to that, she served as Director of Constituency and Allied Groups Engagement at the DNC. An alumna of theObama administration, she also served as an Associate Director at the Department of Health and Human Services. She cut her teeth on politics as a Youth Director for the Obama presidential campaign in 2008. She is one of two Black women in senior positions in the Senate. Congrats, Tamia! More about her here.
