Dems Want Answers from FCC’s Pai on Sinclair

Democratic leaders on the House Energy and Commerce Committee wrote a letter yesterday to FCC Chairman Ajit Pai expressing concerns over media reports that since Pai became chairman, the FCC has taken actions that suggest favorable treatment toward the conservative Sinclair Broadcast Group. The letter addresses two key points: whether actions taken by the FCC under Pai’s chairmanship show a pattern of preferential treatment for Sinclair, and whether a series of interactions between Pai’s office, the Trump campaign, the admin, and Sinclair demonstrate inappropriate coordination.
