Clyburn Policy Director Heads to CVS

After 12 years on Capitol Hill, Ashli Palmeris stepping down from her post as Policy Director for Assistant Democratic Leader Congressman James Clyburn (R-SC). The Spelman College graduate is heading to CVS to assume the role of Director of Government Affairs. “I’ve had the privilege of working for Assistant Leader James E. Clyburn and former Budget Committee Chairman John Spratt.  I couldn’t have asked for better bosses or mentors and I am grateful to have met such wonderful friends and colleagues during my time here,” the South Carolina native said in an email to friends. Palmer also previously worked for the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, a public policy think tank where her work included creating a legislative resource guide on budget and farm bill issues and after that, she served as Chief of Staff at the Department of Agriculture. Learn more about Ashli here.
