Important Border Wall Case Will Be Heard By Judge Trump Belittled
U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel -- whom Donald Trump infamously attempted to diss by calling him a “Mexican” and a “hater” because of his heritage -- will hear a case on Friday that could determine whether Trump can waive environmental laws for his proposed border wall. The case consolidates three lawsuits filed last year by the state of California, environmental groups, and Congressman Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ) which challenge waivers granted by Congress in 1996 and 2005 that let the federal government circumvent some federal and state laws, including environmental regulations, in the name of border security.
