The Iron Stache Makes Big Bank


Randy Bryce, who is challenging House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI), raised more than $1.5 million in the third quarter for his congressional bid. The campaign will also report more than $1 million cash-on-hand in a finance report due later this month. The average contribution to his campaign was $25. Ryan reported in July that he had more than $11 million cash on hand at that point and had raised $3.4 million through June. Bryce, whose mother is Mexican, is a union ironworker who captured national attention with his slick announcement video and nickname of “Iron Stache,” emphasizing his blue collar background. More here.
