The Stories Behind Omarosa’s Exit

According to a CBS News report, Omarosa tried to enter the White House residence, setting off alarms after Chief of Staff John Kelly told her that her employment in the administration would end in January. White House reporter April Ryan, who has publicly beefed with the reality TV villain in the past, says Omarosa may have been escorted out of the WH shouting profanities after being told of her firing. The five-time fired provocateur appeared on ABC's Good Morning America today and said that she and Kelly had a conversation in the Situation Room and all the reports of her being escorted off the property are "100% false." She intimated that the reporting stems from "one individual" who has a "personal vendetta" against her. April tweeted, "Omarosa is alleged to have acted very vulgar and cursed a lot and said she helped elect President Trump. The word is General Kelly had it and got rid of her." The WH disputes April’s account and Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters that Omarosa submitted her resignation and that her last day at the White House would be next month. NYT's Yamiche Alcindor also reported on Omarosa's exit, saying that Omarosa had been asking friends not to reveal that she was escorted off the property. Omarosa also said that she had more access to POTUS than most and that some of her colleagues had problems with their closeness. Trump exemplified their closeness with this tweet, "Thank you Omarosa for your service! I wish you continued success." See the video of Omarosa on GMA here.
