Taddeo Makes History in Florida

Annette Taddeo beat Republican State Rep. José Félix Díaz in a special election to fill a Florida state Senate seat, and by doing so, became the first Latina Democrat to serve in the state’s Senate. Taddeo not only bested Díaz, who was a member on Trump's Apprentice, but she's filling the seat of former Republican Senator Frank Artiles, whose sexist and racist tirade against two black colleagues earlier this year led to his resignation.
